My Christmas Wishlist ʚ♡⃛ɞ(ू•ᴗ•ू❁)

hello DECEMBER

It's the most wonderful time of the year. Everyone of us waited for this month come, didn't we?
Because December means Christmas Time= new clothes, shoes, bags, plenty of food, reunions and cold weather. :3
But what is the true essence of christmas?

According to wikipedia, Christmas is an annual commemoration of the birth of Jesus Christ. It is a feast central to the Christian Liturgical year.

In addition, christmas is the day when people tend to spend time with each other. Expressing their love, they attend the 9 days of sambang gabi, cook their special dishes, chit chat their old good friends, family reunion; exchanging gifts and smile with one another.

Most of us look forward for christmas because of those reasons didn't we? We're so excited to receive money from our parents, ninong and ninang in order to buy our wants such as new clothes, bags, shoes and the like. Sometimes we get disappointed when they give us a little amount of money instead of thanking them. And slowly by slowly, we already forgot the real reason why we're celebrating christmas.

In this 15 seconds video, A teenage girl who wrote her christmas wish (material things) such as new clothes, bags and shoes. On her way to the mall she passed by the church and pray then she realized that there's more important things than what she've written. She crumpled her Christmas Wish List (Material Things) and wrote a new one.

Christmas is not all about those material things, plenty of foods and gift. Christmas is all about sharing our blessings, helping one another and remembering the person behind this season and it's Jesus Christ.

Merry Christmas Everyone!

1,461 days.

November 23, 2013, marks the 4th year anniversary of the gruesome Ampatuan Massacre, where in 58 people were killed, 32 of them were journalist; while on their way to file a certirificate of Candidacy for Esmael Magudadatu as governor the following year.

Do we still care?

It seems like most of us have forgotten this horrible event in our history. We tend to forget our past easily. It seems like nothing happened. Or maybe it have been overshadowed by the recent issues like Napoles, Korina Sanchez vs Cooper or Manny Pacquiao won over Brandon Rios and tragic tragedies like Bagyong Yolanda who killed thousands of Filipino.

The families of the victims continue to cry out for justice. Some witnesses have been turned, killed or disappeared. Some families of the victims are on the run fearing for their safety.

After more than 100 hearings since the trail began in 2010, the families of the victims were losing hope because of the slow movement of the case.

NOVEMBER 23 marks as International day to end impunity.
Our Professor in MassCom 15 invited us to attend a Forum-workshop last Friday, November 22 launched by the National Union of Journalists of the Philippines (NUJP) Davao Chapter as part of commemorating the fourth year of the Ampatuan Massacre and the third year of the International Day to End Impunity.

The forum was attend by Mass Communication students of Holy Cross of Davao College, journalists and media workers. We were divided in 6 groups and asked to discussed what Impunity means and the role of media in reporting human rights issues.

First, me and my group mates decided to define what Impunity means (in Technical matter) for us to understand it more.

but as the time passes by and as we share our sentiments; The most common answer to define Impunity in a word is FEAR.

FEAR. big word!

You're not sure if it's okay to express your sentiments about a certain issue because you're scared that you might be threatened or killed given the fact that the Philippines do not have an law that could protect Journalist. And for the aspiring journalist; sometimes we really asked our self if this is the path that we're going to take. We're confused between our fear and passion.

What can we do as an ordinary citizen && as a student?

  1. Never forget. According to Mr. Carlos Condes; A researcher at Human Rights Watch covering the Philippines and a former Journalist. One way of doing it is to post something about it every now and then for everyone to see (on Facebook, Twitter, and in your blogs). This will help those who have forgotten to remember.
  2. Be an educated. Research. Research. Research. Dig dipper. Know about a little of everything and share it to others.
  3. Be vigilant. Stay on guard, be the watch dog of the society.
To date, none of the perpetrators have been brought to justice. I know that it is painful to the families of the victims that 4 years passed but nothing happened. And it's more painful to know that the witnesses of this massacre are being killed one-by-one. But let us not give up, let us not lose hope. Maybe a days, weeks or years from now, justice will prevail. We never know what tomorrow brings.

May we never forget the victims of the MaguindanaoMassacre. May we never forget that impunity still reigns in our country.Justice for the 58 people.They are not just numbers.

3 STARS AND A SUN

It's been a week since the Central, Eastern and Western Visayas got hit by the Typhoon Yolanda. (International Name: Haiyan)

(Credits to the owner)
In a matter of how many hours on Friday, Typhoon Yolanda completely devastated the Central, Eastern and Western Visayas. The death toll is estimated up to 10,000 people.

Heartbreaking, isn't it? Don't know what to say. Whenever I watch news, open my facebook, tumblr or twitter account; all I see were about the tragic happenings about the Typhoon Yolanda. Gahd. It made me cry. T____T

Dear Typhoon Yolanda, Why are you doing this to them? Why are you giving them a hardtime? Don't you have a heart. SERIOUSLY </3

We must be thankful because we're safe.. and we still have a house to spend our night, a food that we can eat whenever we want to, a clean water and most especially, our loved ones were still here with us. But what about the people who were affected? Thousand of innocence people died, many were injured, some are missing and all of them don't have a house, food and water. How can they continue to live? How? HOOOOW?

THEY NEED US. THEY NEED HELP.
Some of us can't donate because we're dealing with our own stuff but there's something that we can do that doesn't requires money.

I decided to donate my old clothes to them and give a little amount. I hope that with these small help that I gave,  it will give them hope to continue everyday, to pursue their dreams and I hope that each of them can attain happiness.
Lets take a little moment of our busy life and pray. Let's pray for the victims, survivors, government officials, rescue team and thank those countries and individuals who helped us.

Summer 2013: Surigao Escapade

After a loooooong stressful semester. Finally, its summer time..
My family decided to go back to Surigao for the 3rd time around but of course, among all of us.. Me and my boyfriend were the most excited since its our first time to go to Surigao to witness it's beauty with our own eyes. (Since I wasn't able to go with time last year because of school works and stuffs.)

DAY 1

We started to begin the journey to Surigao at 10:00 pm. We arrived in Surigao around 6am then have another hour travel to Enchanted Hinatuan River - One of the most magnificent bodies of water in the Philippines.

The river is 80 meters deep. There are only certain areas in the river that tourists are allowed to swim.
There were some divers from different counties who tried to explore the cave below but they stopped at 200 feet because of the overpowering of the current.

Review of Yurushi Japanese Restaurant

It's my first time to hear the Restaurants name as my friends suggest on where we should take our lunch. And since all of them convince me that their food is good and cheaper than any other Japanese Restaurant in the city.

It is located in the corner street of Uyanguren and Suazo St., fronting Sta.Ana National High School, this mini restaurant offers Japanese cuisine at EXTREMELY LOW PRICES! Authentic and tasty, Yurushi offers a wide range of Japanese dishes you would surely love.

☆*:.。. AMBIANCE .。.:*☆

At Yurushi Japanese Restaurant, you can expect that its not like other elegant Japanese Restaurant in the city. When you enter the restaurant, it looks like a carinderia (local canteen). Despite being one, the place is really clean and well maintained. If you go upstairs, you'll be surprised to know that the place is air-conditioned and has an karaoke machine; 5 pesos each song that the whole gang can enjoy while eating nor waiting for your food.

After 20 to 30 minutes..

Katsudon (Left) Katsudon (Left) is a popular Japanese food, a bowl of rice topped with a deep-fried pork cutlet, egg, and condiments for 79.00 pesos only.

Gyudon (Right) is a Japanese dish consisting of a bowl of rice topped with beef and onion simmered in a mildly sweet sauce flavored with dashi (fish and seaweedstock), soy sauce and mirin (sweet rice wine).

Tonkatsu - s a Japanese food which consists of a breaded, deep-fried pork cutlet. There are two main types, hire and rosu. It is often served with shredded cabbage.

They also offer other Japanese dishes for PHp 80.00 only. And Pinoy cuisine price ranging from PHp 35 .00to PHp 80.00 on the average for break, lunch and dinner.

My dream boy

My dreamboy
November 28, 2012
4:17pm

This subject is so ugggghhh.. boring! :<
Don’t know what to do. Wasn’t able to buy a book that’s why I don’t feel like listening.

Mmm… I cant stop thinking about him. I like him. A lot.
He’s not my type but I like him. There’s something about him that makes me fall in love. Maybe it’s the way he talk to me, the way he joke around and do silly things or maybe its they way he smile. He makes me like him. He makes me go crazy about him.

He was all that I want in a guy. From looks? mm.. to attitude, no wonder he can easily catch a girl’s heart. He’s so mabait, gentleman and korny? OMG!! Did I just said korny? Haha. No offense but yes, he is but that what makes me like him more.

I will do everything for him to notice me. Silly me, isn’t it? I’m still pursuing him even though I know right from the start that he’s not into me.

My friend said that I should give up because he doesn’t care and maybe I’m missing on someone who does. Yeah. Maybe there’s a few guys who likes me but the problem is not with them, its within me; I want him and no one else but him.

Yeah. I’d choose him over anyone else out there.
There may be better looking people out there. They may be funnier, smarter, nicer, and even sweeter than him, but he’s the one that I want & he’s the only one that I want to call mine. I don’t want to call anyone else mine because I’ve been saving that spot for him and only him. I’d choose him over anyone else and I don’t regret waiting this long because he is definitely worth the wait.

Re-post from my old account..

Being called fat..

Posted  on: November 27, 2012
I got so pissed of yesterday. What I mean is that i don’t mind being called “fat”. But bitch, check yourself. What makes you think you can call me fat when you’re bigger than me? I didn’t say anything, he also told me that I cant do it. There’s no chance for me to be thin and i just gave him short replies. i felt so hurt, like wth is wrong with you? wow, thanks a lot. my self esteem dropped to negative 1000000000000000000000000000.

And yuh, because of that I was motivated to do exercise and lose weight. I will prove to him that I can make it, no matter what.
So today, I woke up at 5:30am and jogged for 1 hour and 30 minutes, carbo for 30 minutes and 30 sit ups. Can you imagine it? I did carbo for 30 minutes which I really hate the most. It makes me wanna die..
Along with that, I was eating really healthy the whole day. I had Fresh Watermelon Juice for breakfast.Image
and Sweet Potato for Lunch and DinnerImage
(I didn’t own this pic)
Maybe I should eat even more vegetables, vegetables and vegetables.
I also didn’t have any meat or eggs this day, but I can hear my stomach begging for a Grilled Belly Porkchop. Sorry honey, but no scholarship, no meaty goodness.

I´ve had a great day so far! Today was so gooooooood, and I hope to get the time to do all my homework, studies, social life and also WORK OUT! :)
Eat and train for the body you want, not the body you have!
